RAYNE;

Since her outing at the charity gala Enzo agreed to giving her a little more freedom. He promised he would take her out of the confinements of his four walls every now and again, occasionally taking her on dates to the finest restaurants and the occasional shopping trip. Things were beginning to feel normal, although it was a new normal compared to what she was used to she wouldn’t complain though, his only stipulation being that she had to remain in the walls of the mansion. Rayne could not deny that every now and again she thought of her life before him, the things that she did, the hobbies that she enjoyed. She also remembered the pain that caused her to run into Enzo in the first place, the reason why she drank, the reason why she went to the bar so frequently. Those were the times that she thought about her life of romance before him too, and how they were two completely different worlds with two completely different men. Ruben was a gentle lover, whereas Enzo had parts of his love language that she still didn’t understand. Though he tried his best to explain it to her, and while she could understand some parts, there were still some gray areas about their relationship. If that’s what they would call it.

All the thinking in the early morning hours caused her to grow quite hungry. Enzo was still asleep and she made sure to wriggle out of the bed quietly so that she didn’t wake him. She made her way to the kitchen and the refrigerator, opening it up to grab her salad from the day prior, as well as an uncut cucumber and her dressing. She began her trek back to her room, but heard the stirring of Matteo’s girlfriend, or whatever their situation was, Gin. Rayne had a hard time pronouncing her name, so that was the nickname she chose to stick to. She heard her name come from Matteo’s room, causing her to slow in her tracks before she peeked into the room. ”You called? Gin sat criss crossed on the bed, her brows riddled with—what seemed like—confusion.

Rayne walked into the room, becoming familiar with it while she often hung out with Gin for company when either one of them wasn’t being occupied by their men. Matteo wasn’t around so she figured maybe her friend needed some company before dying of boredom. She placed her food on the beside table and sat across from gin on a nearby chair, ”what’s up?” she asked as her head cocked slightly to the side. Her hair still tied up in a messy bun on top of her head, her clothes, consisting of Enzos sweatpants and one of his white tshirts.
